I am a PhD student in Sociology at the University of Alberta, Edmonton. My main interests are
urban spaces, material culture, and public memory. My dissertation research will focus on
monuments in Ottawa, Canada. I am interested in how monuments produce poetic geographies,
places of belonging, and terrains for negotiating public and private forms of memory. My PhD
work is supervised by Dr. Rob Shields. This is my personal website.
